Dimensions of learning

So now i know that the respective dimensions of learning are: Real world learning contexts, Meaning making scaffolds, Collaboration with others and Evaluating on-going performances.

Certainly didnt know that the simple learning has so many areas to it, so many things to take note of to make the learning experience an effective and productive one. What if many of these dimensions are not fulfilled? Does it mean that the learning no longer one that we desire? Well, it may just well be it.

What stuck me was the use of ICT in these dimensions. It seems that ICT has integrated well enough in learning, especially in the case of the Educational Blogging which happened to be what i has been studying for for the case study activity. I remember AED 105 last semester using a similar technique to spur students on to think and reflect. Although in that case, the tutor mainly took up the role of a facilitator, seldom taking part in the blogging activity itself. And as i am typing this, it seems like this is really a useful technique or tool for students to comment and express themselves about the course and their learning points.

I think the dimensions of learning are important, and the table really showed me how important every factor ( meaning every topic to be filled in the table) came to be. Fun and productive activities seem to have achieved more of these 'criteria's. Somehow. Now it must really be time for me to think of such activities to capture the insatiable students i may have in future. As well as some possible tools for the demonstration soon. Hmmmm

The First.

How should i say this. I guess this is the very first time i am actually blogging. Much less Blogging for education. The first lesson on this ICT course is, well, interesting. I really wonder what we are going to explore. Looking, relatively forward.

Cheers!
